Developmental Editing

This is the first step of the editing process. I will help you shape your ideas, structure, and flow so your work really connects with your audience.

New and experienced authors alike often start here. In this initial round of editorial feedback, I'll read your manuscript for plot development, language, style, character development, cultural content, appropriate representation, and other aspects of your writing, including anything you ask me to look at specifically. My suggestions will guide you as you revise and rewrite your story. Feedback will be delivered to you in the form of an editorial letter sent via email. I offer developmental editing services in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

For our first project together, I charge $75 for an editorial letter. This includes a 30-minute follow-up conversation to discuss any questions or new ideas you have. Any further work we do together will be billed at $40/hour.
